Vlow
Vlow vs Superwhisper (2026)
Short answer: Superwhisper is the pick for people who want deep control: model choice, custom modes, meetings, file transcription and bring-your-own API keys. Vlow is the simpler pick: unlimited free local input, and a one-time Pro (early-bird $69) that includes cloud polish (2,000/month) on up to 2 Mac/Windows computers.
| Vlow | Superwhisper | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Unlimited local voice input + notes, calculator, dictionary, history | Unlimited local dictation, up to 2 modes without AI [1] |
| Paid | One-time $69 early-bird / $169 regular | $8.49/mo, $84.99/yr or $249.99 lifetime [1] |
| Devices per license | Up to 2 computers | Unlimited Macs/PCs + phone [1] |
| Platforms | Mac, Windows | Mac, Windows, iOS, Android [1] |
| Extras | Voice notes, voice calculator; "Help me…" actions on the roadmap for the next version | File transcription, meetings, speaker separation, BYO keys [1] |
Where Superwhisper is stronger
Mobile apps, unlimited devices, meetings and file transcription, highly customizable modes; recommended as "most customizable" in third-party roundups [2].
Where Vlow is different
Lower one-time price than Superwhisper Lifetime ($69 early-bird vs $249.99 [1]); cloud polish included without configuring keys; a desk assistant roadmap ("Help me…", on the roadmap for the next version).
